About Me
I am the owner of KIGO Travel and a Travel Consultant based in Kyoto, Japan. My passion lies in creating personalized and memorable journeys, rooted in a lifelong love for exploring new places, cultures, and Japan’s own rich traditions.
Travel has always felt like my calling. After finishing high school in Victoria, BC, Canada, and earning a degree in Tourism Management from the University of Queensland, Australia, I returned home to Japan to build my career in inbound tourism.
Over the past decade, I’ve worked across many roles in the travel industry—International Liaison Manager, Tour Operator, and Executive Assistant. Since 2017, I’ve also been providing personal e-Concierge services and designing tailor-made itineraries for international travelers.
All along, I knew I wanted to one day start my own travel business. After gaining over a decade of industry experience, 2023 felt like the right time to take that leap. That’s when I founded KIGO Travel, where I now dedicate myself fully to helping travelers discover Japan through thoughtfully crafted, personalized experiences.
